apps disapper when minimized

Have 1 PC where the office apps disappear from desktop when they are
minimized. they are still open just no longer visible. Alt tab brings up to
choice to open (maximize) them.., I'm sure this is just a check box or
registry seting some where but I can find nothing. Anyone seen this before
or know how to fix it please? Thanks

Are you showing the Windows Taskbar or do you have it set to auto-hide?

This is a Windows, not an Office issue. Please repost in a group appropriate
to your OS.

Task bar is not hidden. I will report in Windows since opther post says this
is Windows not Office issue. Do you agree with that?

Hi Brian,

I'm not sure I'm following you completely on this.
When an app is minimized all that would be left visible is
its icon on the taskbar. If you're referring to it
not reappearing when it's 'restored' to last viewed
size then it may be opening offscreen. Right click
on the Windows taskbar and choose the cascade choice
as one method to pull the window back onto screen.

When the office apps are minimized, they disappear, ie you cannot see them
anywhere on desktop, they are not on taskbar, no where. If you select Alt +
tab you can then see a choice for them. This is not normal behavior,
typically when any app is minimized and icon representing the app is on the
task bar at bottom of desktop. I believe I have a fix at hand as the Windows
newsgroup had a registery fix to correct this behavior. Thanks
