Appt still tentative after being accepted

Using Outlook 2002 with Exchange 5.5. One of our managers has two
delegates, when one of them accepts a meeting request (one off, not
recurring) on his behalf, the appointment shows as tentative
(striped), even though it says "Accepted by ...". A bit confusing,
because the other delegate sees it as striped and thinks she still has
to deal with it. Anyone have any ideas?
