Arabic fonts distorted

Microsoft Office 2004 for mac is distorting my arabic fonts on my new
imac... anyone has any ideas on how to fix that?

Sorry, Office 2004 doesn't support right-to-left languages like Arabic &
Hebrew. As you've discovered, the character sets are supported, but text
direction is not, so it doesn't look right.

You might be able to work with Arabic in TextEdit. Otherwise, try Mellel,
which advertises full support for Arabic.
