architecting for occasional connectivity

Sorry to bug this group with a rudimentary question. I'm a freelance tech
writer working on an article for Intel Developer Services (www.intel.com/ids)
on tips / tricks for developers working on occasionally connected solutions.
ie, If you're trying to make an app that's still useful when disconnected,
like Outlook, that relies on store & forward (or as-available
synchonization), etc. Some of the Intel folks seemed to like this case study,
from 2002 about the Tablet PC at 7-11:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/casestudies/CaseStudy.asp?CaseStudyID=13505.

Could I ask a few basic questions about how a hypothetical solution like
this might be improved using Infopath? I'm looking for a few folks I could
quote in my article.

Thanks for considering it,
