archive / delete calander data

I cannot get the Oulook 2000 archiving to work for calendars, other folders
seem ok. I have set the Outlook program to autoarchive and then went into the
archive section of calendars and specified that i wanted to permanently
delete all items over 12 months old. I don't use the calanders too much so i
put in a couple of entries for feb 2004. When i came to run the autoarchive
manually the items did not disappear. Any ideas why ?
