Archive of old e-mails

Is there any way to archive a number of old messages that I have sitting in
a folder in OUTLOOK EXPRESS?
I have several thousand that are from a forum I participate in.

Yes - Go to the Help and find Archiving... what you do is
the following.
1. Select the Folder
2. File->Folder->Compact
3. Find the compacted file as Foldername.dbx
4. Copy this file to a safe place.
Now we have archived the folder and one can delete the
files from the online - but this now begs the question.
How do I look at the archived file? I will ask this as a
separate thread.
