Archive old projects

is there any possibility to archive finished projects?
my company is handling about 200 projects a year, and both in the client
when opening a project as in the project server web interface project center
the list is growing very long making it time consuming retrieving the correct
project from the list.

It would be nice to have some sort of possibility when a project is finished
to be able to "archive" the project and it's workspace. The ideal way is that
there will be some sort of extra view where all archived projects (and all
project documents in the workspace) could remain accesible to the project
managers

In the future, please tell us what version of Project Server you are using.
2002, 2003, or 2007? To answer your question, there is a way to archive
completed projects in Project Server 2003, but you can apply the process to
2007 as well. Refer to the following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/ProjectServerFAQKnowledgeBase/ArchiveCompletedProjects.aspx

Project Server 2007 also has an Archive database into which the Project
Server administrator can back up all projects, and then delete completed
projects. But I don't think that process would address your situation.
Hope this helps.
