a user created a archive.pst - when he tries to open it there are no msgs, but if you look at the details the filesize is 103mg. Any suggestions. Its not read only, I ran scanpst.exe and it ran fine - no errors.

What folders do you see in the folder list? Try alternating Scanpst and
Scandisk or another disk repair utility 3-4 times.
