archiving mailbox not working

I'm trying to archive a mailbox. I go to Archive and
select that all items older than 1/1/2004 should go on to
the archiver. After Archiving is finished I still have
email from 2003 in my mailbox.
Whats going wrong ?? Please help.

Archiving is based on modified date, not on received date. A message can be
ten years old, but, for example, if you moved it from one folder to another
recently, its modified date will be fairly new and it won't be archived.
