How do you archive projects in Project 2007

Log into PWA with administrator permissions and then click the Server
Settings link in the Actions Pane. Click the Administrative Backup link in
the Database Administration section of the page. In the Items for Backup
list, select the Projects options checkbox, and then click the Backup
button. To schedule automated backup of projects, click the Schedule Backup
link in the Database Administration section of the Server Settings page.
Set the Project Retention Policy (versions) field value to the number of
versions you wish to keep for each project you back up. Remember that the
more versions you keep, the larger your Archive database becomes. Click the
Option pick list for Projects and select the Schedule item from the pick
list, specify a Time value for the backup, and then click the Save button
when finished. Hope this helps.

No, there is no default process in Project Server 2003 to archive completed
projects. Because of this, we developed a "work around" shown in the
following FAQ:
