I have recently experienced an issue with a Word file that contains numerous
inserted graphics (saved as .gif files from PowerPoint). I have also tried to
composite the Word file using other graphic file formats, as well as simply
copying from PowerPoint and pasting into Word. The file keeps getting
corrupted and is evidently nonrecoverable.
However, the files can be opened in Office 2002 (Word).
