Are there options for grabing / resizing objects & canvas in drawi

Working with drawing feature. Trying to get my cursor in exactly the right
position to expand, or drag an object, or canvas is frustrating.
..Is there a method for making the dragging borders, and expand/contract
handles of objects (including canvas, and lines) 1.) Appear without simply
rolling the cursor back and forht and clicking aimlessly, and 2.) appear
larger so that finding the special spot is not so tricky?
Thanks.

The cursor changes shape when you slide across the handles. When it
changes shape press the button.

Thanks for your response> I should have been clearer though. I find that 1.)
the cursor doesn't always change shape when dragged over an object. This is
especially true where multiple objects are set close together. 2.) Once the
cursor does change shape, the handles are so small that the curso slips off
before I can click.

Perhaps I just need a steadier hand.

Just a thought, maybe just turn OFF the canvas and play with the objects
directly. Uncheck it under Tools, Options, General at the bottom.

Hi CSM,

I'm assuming you're working in Word 2003?

You can use the Zoom control on the standard toolbar to make everything larger when you need to select things. Zooming has no
effect on how the actual document will print.

You can also use the select objects tool (white Arrow) on the drawing toolbar and then click on an object, you can also add the
'Select Multiple Objects' tool from Tools=>Customize=>Drawing and drag it to the Drawing toolbar).

Within the drawing canvas, once you have selected an object you can 'jump' to the next object using the Tab key.

With an object selected you can use Format=>Object from the toolbar or right click menu and type in your new dimensions rather than
drag.
