If yes, do you know how to activate the sound for data entry where it speaks
the words or numbers being typed?

You can add this to the QAT

1) Office Button > Excel Options2) Customization3) Choose "Commands Not in the Ribbon"4) Select the command (Speak .........)5)

Do you mean Windows Narrator?
You can find that at Start>Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>Narrator.
