Arial Black appears in italics only within PowerPoint & Excel

In the past week, I cannot get ARIAL BLACK font to appear unitalicized in
PowerPoint. (It does appear correctly within Word, but does NOT in
Excel.)Whether in WordArt or any other format within PowerPoint, it is as if
Arial Black font regualar has been deleted in Windows Font Folder (it has not
been). Whether in previously created files which previously were created in
regular Arial Black, or in ones I'm creating in regular Arial Black, they all
appear as Arial Black Italic. It does not help to manually highlight and
"make" them italic. The italic icon on the toolbar can appear unitalicized
or not--doesn't matter--it always appears within the ppt as italicized and/or
changes previously unitalicized appear italicized. And note, Word is fine,
but Excel also seems to have the same problem. I'm mystified, as everything
was fine a week ago. I have just installed Spybot and doubled the memory
within the time frame. Can't see how that would matter. HELP! Too much
italics is not a good thing!

Thank you! I did delete & re-install the Arial Black and Arial Black Italic
fonts and that worked. I believe I have all the latest service packs. For
whatever reason, just deleting and re-installing fixed it. Thanks so much!

Have you installed all service packs for your version of Office? I know
there are some oddities around Arial Black Italic in various versions of
PowerPoint. http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00637.htm

You may want to reinstall Arial Black and Arial Black Italic.

Whew. I'm glad to hear that worked. I wasn't sure what to suggest if it
didn't! :)
