Arrange items to top of slide master

In the slide master can you arrange items so that they always stay on
the top of the slide. Ie. if you drop in an image on a new slide the
image would sit behind the logo, like it does the editable text fields?

The Slide Master is much like a painter's canvas. Everyt object you place
on the canvas obscures the area under the object. If you want to control
the Z-order or layers, don't use the Slide Master. Put the objects on the
presentation slide and use the Order command (on the Draw menu) to control
which one is on top.

I'm interested in doing this too. Although I could paste a common item onto every presentation slide I have an animation that I want to keep rolling throughout. This works when it's on the master - but is obscured by other ojects. But when pasted into each slide, the animations starts again each time.
