Arranging slide in PP2004

I have a presentation with about 85 slides. In Normal view I am having
trouble changing the order for some of the slides. Example: slide 14 will
not move in front of slide 13. It will howerver move in front of slide 12.
This seems to occur randomly throughout the slides.

Any suggestions?

What happens when you try to move the slide? Have you tried to move
slides in Slide Sorter View?

A cirlce with a line through it (Universal No symbol) appears until you scroll
to a point where the program will allow you to drop the slide.

I am not at the machine with the presentation, will try the Slide Sorter View.
