I was trying to write an array formula in Excel tonight and obtaining some
strange results. When I examined the formula by selecting the formula bar and
<F9>, I noted that the resultant array constant was showing a slash (/) as the
separator. In other words, it looked like {1/2/0/0/5/6/7}
I could simplify this by array entering =A1:J1 in a cell and, when examining it
with <F9> I would see the "/" separator.
My regional settings had not changed, and there were no anomalies I noted in
Tools/Options. This also occurred with a new workbook.
Closing Excel, and then restarting it, seems to have cured the problem.
Anyone have any ideas?
