I am using the data transfer function to obtain data from our AS400 to
excel. I am using a brand new computer, with a new loadset, XP, Excel
2003.
I have used this specific tranfer query with other computers with the
exact same loadset with no problems.
The data is 32,509 rows.
When I run the data transfer function from this computer it is cutting
of at 16,351 rows, with the error message letting me know that the data
will not fit in the spreadsheet.
I have asked around and the best advice I have found within my
organization is that the data transfer function is "reading" form a
"template" which appears to be limiting the file to the old v5
limitation (although 16,351 is not exactly the old v5 limit it is
close, so maybe that is why they are thinking that).
The odd thing, is that the data transfer works on two other new
computers with the same loadset.
I am at a loss, and it appears that I am going to have to reload,
excel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the forum
experience, but read some of the postings through a google search for
help with this problem and noted their appeared to be a great deal of
knowledge within the group.
Thank you, Tony
