aspect ratio

Greetings. I realize that I can retain the aspect ratio
when resizing a photo by holding down the shift key, but
is there any way to lock the aspect ratio by default?

There is no way to set a default like that in any version of Publisher.

In 2000, the aspect ratio holds if you push the CORNER of
a jpeg or graphic (WITHOUT holding shift down.) But you
have to hold the shift key down for the text boxes.
