Assign Resource - Toolbar button greyed out

Hi!
Would appreciate if anyone can help me with this. My "Assign
Resource" button in the toolbar is greyed out and I cannot access it all from
any view. Iam using Project 2000.

What is that Iam missing here?

Hi,

Assign resources is greyed out from anty RESOURCE view
It will be active in any task view.
Its purpose is to help you assign resources to tasks; it will open a window
with the resources within the task view.
It doesn't help at all in a resource view.

Thanks for the response. Its greyed out even in the Gantt Chart view.
Something is not right here.

Hi Rhammia,

Are you looking at a split view of the Gantt Chart -- Gantt at top and
some other view at bottom? If so, and the lower pane is active (darker
blue bar at left) the Assign Resources button may not be active. Try
selecting a task in the top pane and see if that fixes it.
