assign value to button & enters value in field

I want to create a button that enters a specific value into a specific field
of a specific record.
Help please!!

You need to more specific. Exactly, what is it you are trying to do? Can you
give an example?

Create an SQL statement that updates the field with the value in the desired
record and execute the SQL in the click event of the button.
