Assigning Overtime Work

How can I add overtime work to a specific day and not to a
task ?
i.e. instead of assigning overtime work for a resource in
a specific task (in general), to assign overtime work for
a resource in a specific task in a specific day.

Gary,
I'm planning a project and I got overallocation to one of
my resources. In order to resolve this overallocation I
want to assign to this resource, in a specific 3 days,
overtime work.
Is it possible?

Bob:

Yes it is. In Project, go to Views > Resource Usage view and enter the total
hours by day contoured as you like. This will create over-allocations in
your plan, but they'll be planned over allocations.
