Assigning Resources to Tasks

I would like to assign two resources (that have different
task types) to a single task. By "different task types," I
am referring to the options from the drop-down menu: Fixed
Duration, Fixed Units, Fixed Work. How do I go about
doing this?

Hi Molly,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

You can't, sorry :-( It's the task that has the property and not the
resource. You'll have to split it into two tasks.

Thanks for the quick response, Mike. How do you recommend
splitting the tasks, when I need the same resources for
both? Would you recommend a resource pool, or would that
not be required here?

Task A, make it Fixed duration, assign Resource. Task B, make it Fixed
Work, assign resource B.
