"Assignments have been updated" emails for 100% complete tasks

Project team members are receiving "assignments have been updated" e-mails
for tasks that have no remaining work and are 100% complete. They have not
been modified in any way. Is this a bug, or is there someway to stop this
other than unchecking alerts for "My project tasks are modified"? We don't
want to do that, as they do want a notification when the tasks actually
change. Thanks.

Assuming you are using Project Server 2007, you are seeing a known bug with
the system that was not fixed in SP1 or the Infrastructure Update. The only
workaround for the moment is to deselect the "My project tasks are modified"
option. Hope this helps.
