Hi,
I just began work as a program coordinator for a local nonprofit organization.
They have a database that a college student created two years ago, which
allows them to maintain a running list of items that have been loaned to
clients via the library. Apparently, when an individual item is inputted
under a client's name, there isn't a way to have the information that is
specific to the individual (basically, a running list, like a shopping cart)
be placed somewhere so that it can be accessed (almost like an invoice). We
can print a list of all the individuals who have items checked out, but no
way to make a depository for items that a single client has taken out. Also,
when one item is inputted for a client, the program reverts back to the main
screen. The information is saved, but the user has to go back through the
menu tree to input another item, even if it is for the same person. Are there
ways to correct this program so that it is more user friendly? I have tried
to contact the student who created the program, however I have been unable to
find them. I have limited understanding of Access, although i'm fairly
proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Publisher,
Excel and Frontpage. If anyone is able to help us, we'd greatly appreciate
anything you can offer. Thank you!!!
