associate a program to open a hyperlink?

How can I associate a program with a hyperlink? I tried my computer, tools,
folder options, file types, etc and was unsuccessful. I have images that
need to go with descriptions and I do not want the actual pictures in the
spreadsheet. Any help is appreciated as I just cannot figure this out and am
very frustrated. Thanks....Anna

The hyperlink points to the image file. The Operating system opens the
image using the program assigned to the file type. Simple as that.
