Folks,

I have been sent here from the SBS forum. Originla thread here:

Dear All

A user has reported an issue to me that I have never seen before.
The system is SBS2008 (therefore Exchange 2007).

When the users is sending an email and wants to attach another e-mail
say from their sent items. The e-mail is attached fine and the email
sent. In their sent items, they open the e-mail they have sent. The
sent date is today at X oclcok and the attachment email says the date
that it was orifnally sent.

I receive (or any client) the email with the older email as the
attachment. When I open it up the email says the correct date on, but
the problem is with the e-mail that is the attachment that has the
SAME sent date/time as the main e-mail instead of the date/time it
was
originally sent.

I have neve seen this happen before, and someone nearly just got the
sack because a cient we work with was waiting for money to be paid.
It
was paid 2 weeks ago and the confirmation was re-emaile to them and
they called to say that the attached conformation had todays date on.

I have tested forwarding the orginal message rather than attaching is
fine. Saving on the desktop and attaching via OWA is fine. Attaching
via Outlook 2007 or 2003 still changes the date of the original
message. I have also tried drag n drop from outlook folder to the new
message, and this also changes the original date.

Please help one and all!!

Very confused.

Dominic
