Attached files not found in Explorer

I recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office XP. When I
try to open attached Word documents in Explorer, I get the
following message when Word opens:

"This file could not be found.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the spelling of the name of the document.
* Try a different file name.
(C:\...\UOP Group Contacts[1].doc)

The actual file name does not have the [1] in it. Any idea
why Windows is doing this?

Don't try to open attachments directly. Save them to the HD first. If you
open them directly, they are saved to a temp folder and deleted when you
quit Word.
