attachement data type vs. hyperlink

I am just wondering with 2007 what is the different and advantages and
disadvantages of using the attachment data type vs. a hyperlink(OLE) - the
objective is to have a Path that the user can click on (maybe a PDF) for more
details info. Which is best to use????
