When I receive a email with a attachment which is a jpg image, but wants to
open it with microsoft office picture the pictures don't show up they have
little red X in the corner with no picture. If I save the attachment to my
desktop and then open it with microsoft office picture it will show the
picture. How can I get the image to show up by clicking on it in my email? I
am using Microsoft Outlook 2002, windows XP, and also on citrix server.
Thanks in advance

Outlook 2002 doesn't support inline viewing of attached images. Are you
saying that if you double-click the picture attachment it won't open properly
in Picture Manager?

Yes, but if I save it to the desktop it will open properly in Picture
manager. Thanks

Not really sure about this one, but you can try running Detect and Repair on
the Help menu in Outlook. Make sure you have your Office installation CD
handy.

This sounds like the same thing as I am having with Outlook 2003. Any
attachment that I want to open directly from the e-mail gives me a "Access is
Denied" popup. It does not matter what file format it is, jpg, wav, pdf,
gif, etc.

Take a look at the thread a couple down from this one titled "Access is
Denied"

Cheers!
