Attaching Documents: Having Issues

A

Arlyn

The person who helps me solve my problem will be my hero
for the next 6 months. See challenge below:

When I attach word documents to my emails, the icon for
the document goes directly into the body of the text and
can not be openned by others. I have used Outlook for
years and attach documents the same way every time...paper
clip-->click on document-->insert...but it doesn't work
anymore.

Please help!

Only 6 months? :)

Make sure you use HTML or Plain Text format when sending messages to users
of any other e-mail client besides Outlook. Don't use Rich Text format,
which is proprietary to Outlook and will cause problems for other
recipients, one of which is that they won't get your attachments. Rich Text
format also puts attachment icons in the body of the message, while HTML and
Plain Text messages put the attachment icon either in its own pane at the
bottom of the message window, or in a field in the message header, depending
on your Outlook version.
