attaching pics or files from internet explorer does not funtion

I am using outlook 2007:

When I attempt to attach a pic directly from my pictures it brings up the
"send pictures via e-mail" dialog and the "send mail" dialog box comes up I
then click on "OK" and then a "Choose Profile" dalog comes up at which there
is only one option so I choose that Profile name and click "OK" and then
nothing happens.

When attempt to attach any other type of file such as a PDF nothing happens.

Any thoughts?
