Attachment Label doesn't update.

We've recently updated Microsoft Office 2002 SP2 to SP3. Since this
update, our users are no longer able to change the label on an
attachment. As long as the email was being sent as Outlook Rich Text,
you could right click on the attachment and select properties and
change the label. Once you click OK, the attachment in the email does
not update with the new label as it did previously.

Do others experience this same issue? Is it just our environment or
something regarding SP3? Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chrissie

The label of the attachment in the message. Prior to upgrading to SP3,
if you gave the attachment a new label, that would appear as the
attachment's "name" in the message as Microsoft claims. Unfortunately,
this seems to no longer be working for us.
From Microsoft:
To Change the Label Name of a Attachment
To change the label name of an attachment, follow these steps:

1. Open the e-mail message.
2. Using your right mouse button, right-click the attachment and click
Properties on the shortcut menu.
3. In the Label box, type the new name and then click OK.
The Label of the attachment now reflects the new name in the e-mail
message; however the attached file retains the original file name and
file type.

Sounds like it's the display name in an RTF document. That feature is for
the Outlook editor only and appears to be broken in Outlook 2003 as well.
Many options that hid file names and extensions were removed from Outlook
for security reasons - it looks like this is one causality.
