When double clicking on an attachment I get a message if I would like open or
save the file. I would like to open it but I don’t want to answer this
question again. There is an option which says “Always ask before opening this
type of file†which I want to turn off but can’t since it is greyed out. I
was able to turn this off on WIndows XP but I cannot do this on Windows Vista.

Any ideas?

Not really a Outlook issue. Take a look here:

Why isn't it an outlook issue? Most people get the dialog when they use
Outlook - enough that I've written about it several times as have others.

Why isn't it an outlook issue?

Because it will occur in Windows Explorer, it will occur in a Usenet
client, it will occur in any other application that launches a file
based on the File Format Association.

And most people will get the same dialog if they use Windows Explorer,
or any other application.
