attachments arent viewable

I have two computers with outlook 2000 installed. When sending certain
attachments (.doc, .pdf, .xls etc...), the receiving computer doesnt get the
attachment. The recieving compter usually has outlook express but sometimes
they have outlook 2000. The strange thing is the attachment is there
somewhere because the size of the email is the size with the attachment. The
recipient just cant see it. There is no paperclip or icon to click. Its not
a security thing and its not getting blocked. The attachment is there
somewhere, there is just no way to see it. This has been keeping me awake
for months. Thanks.

First thing to try is to make sure that you're not sending the mail item in
Rich Text Format. Use Plain Text or HTML instead.

I switched it to HTML and that worked. Can you tell me why that is? Thank
you very very much.

heal my pc!

Most likely because the receiving computer (Perhaps it's using Lotus, for
example)doesn't read Rich Text and as a consequence, the computer tends to
corrupt the files while attempting to read them.
