attachments displayed as images

Hello

I have a user who is using outlook 2007 and email messages are attached in
the subject line of an email. This would indicate that the user is using
HTML when composing the email message but I have not checked this as yet.

When some users receive the email message the attachments are displayed as
images within the main body of the email and not as attachment.

I can receive the message with the attachments within the subject line. The
emails are all sent internally to users who are all using outlook 2007.

Can anyone shed some light as to why emails attachments are displayed as
images?

Any help would be appreciated

Ron

Hello

I wouldn’t have thought so as I can receive the attachments as attachments
and so can some other users. I will need to check the user’s outlook.

The files are received as images and not attachments on the receiving pc.

Does the sender have the contacts set to always use RTF for those contacts
who get the attachment in the message body?

Are the images the icons of the program that is associated with the file
type and when the recipient double clicks on it, the attachment opens? That
is who it works with RTF formatted mails - and only that person's contact
needs set to always use RTF - everyone else will get the format the sender
used.

Hello Diane

Thanks for the reply.

I think you mean that the receiver of the email with the images within the
email, needs to set the email settings, to always use RTF. If I am wrong let
me know. I will give it a try and thanks for your help.

Ron
