My wife runs 5.0.6 on a G3 notebook with 9.1. I run it on an 8500 with 9.1.
When she gets some messages with attachments, these messages hang the
computer even freeze cursor - needs manual restart. However, these messages
are easily readable on the 8500 and when I forward them to her they are
readable.
The messages that cause trouble are almost always from one university and
one business. The university's messages go through a central server which
tinkers with the message. The person sending says they may abe requesting
confirmation of receipt. The commercial site, we have asked them to drop
her, and they have.
I've looked at all the preferences, tried dozens of options, but this
problem just won't go away. I've a feeling that it is just putting an x in
the right box, but I can't seem to find it.
