Hi,
Office using various versions of outlook gets sent .DWG
(Autocad) files that are reported as corrupt when you try
and open them.
I've tested this, and narrowed it down to messages sent
from Outlook Express (Various Versions) to Outlook.
Not all files get corrupt, but if you have a file that
gets corrupt, it will always get corrupt.
When I say corrupt, looking at the tests I've been doing,
they get truncated, sometimes a few bytes, sometimes a
few Kb.
Generally, larger files have more chance of getting
corrupt.
I've setup outlook express on a temp machine, and any
problem files sent to this are received ok. Also, if the
sender sends as Plain Text, generally this works ok, but
this is causing 'agro' as sender is not always
contactable (or willing).
os : W2K / XP Home / XP Pro
Senders os : Various
Antivirus : Trend Micro (Also tested on machine with no
antivirus)
