Attachments not visible when I compose an email in Outlook 2007

have found that when I compose messages and I attach documents it sometimes
does not display that the files have been attached. If I save a draft of the
composed message close the message and then open it up again I can see the
attachment. This is very time consuming.

Can you please advise whether this is a glitch or there is a setting that
needs to be changed on my outlook.
