attachments or embedded objects in Outlook 97

I cannot view embedded objects such as .rtf format pasted directly onto the
message. Instead all I see is the "<< object >>" word in the body of the
message. The size of the email cofirms that the attachment is there but it
just cannot be viewed.

Anyone have this same problem?
