Attempting to a ThinApp 4.5 Package for the Groove 3.1.2390 Client

I have been trying to use VMWare ThinApp 4.5 to create a portable package for
the Groove 3.1.2390 client. I am able to build the package, but it does not
run successfully. When I execute the package, Groove.exe loads and then
crashes with an error such as this:

Access is denied.

HRESULT: 0x80070005
Process: Groove.exe (ID: 4040 (0x00000fc8))
Thread ID: 4700 (0x0000125c)

The ThinApp package is supposed to be self-contained. It's possible that I
need to make sure I have created it using a completely clean virtual machine.
I plan to make sure of that shortly. In the meantime, has anyone tried this
already with or without success?

Thanks.

Thanks for the FYI. I suspect that Groove is incompatible with ThinApp, no
matter whether it's Groove 3.x or 2007. The "access denied" error is
something that I've seen occur after an improper upgrade from the 3.1 to 2007
client. I suspect that ThinApp isn't capturing all of the configuration
information that the Groove client requires, or else, Groove is doing
something that violates the supposedly closed ThinApp environment.

VMWare has confirmed that this is a bug which they expect to fix in an
upcoming release of ThinApp.
