Audio file captured in Producer will not open in Windows Media

Made an audio only file in Windows Producer and the file is in the correct
folder in My Audios Files. The file appears in Producer as a Windows Media
File [.wma}, it has the WM icon and says it is filed appropriately. I saved
the Project and gave the Project a different name.

I went to Windows Media to open the file to play and Media cannot open the
file because it doesn’t recognize the format. If Producer saved the file as a
..wma file why can’t Media open the file?

When I tried to open the file in Media, it is not apparent in a My Audios
folder when I pick a .wma file type to open; however, when I pick an All File
[*.*] there the files are with a Producer Icon. Why does it appear as a .wma
file in Producer and a Producer file in Media?

I tried copying and saving the file with a .wma extension, but that didn’t
work. I tried to copy the file in Producer and pasting it into Media, but
that doesn’t work either.

I need to transfer the file by IM to friends…but the file needs to be an
audio only file, not the Large Producer File it seems to be. I tried to send
it but the other party couldn’t receive such a large Producer file.

What could I be doing wrong? Why doesn’t Media understand the Producer audio?
How can I make a new file of the audio in .wma file format? Please help. Lynda

And I *still* don't get why she feels the need to post the same issue four
times within 32 minutes in the Publisher newsgroup when it has squat to do
with Publisher.
