I would like to have a site visitor download an audio speech
to listen to at their convenience, this speech would be recorded at a remote
location and updated weekly

http://www.gfx2swf.com/ it's only like $30 and you could very easily make
one of those displays where there's a little picture of a guy or whatever
with player controls below it. the player controls will handle the audio.
pretty cool for a couple of bucks IMHO.
