We are using 2003

When I deactivate a user, should I change them from Windows
Authentication to Project Server Authentication? I'm having a hard
time saving the Resource Pool when the user has an email address/
Windows Account in his profile (this person has left the company,
W.Account no longer exists).

If the user has left the company and their AD account has been deleted then
this would certainly be a pragmatic way forward.
