Auto-Calculation within FP'02 Form

John Hogue

I have a page on my site
(www.masterpieceresumes.com/DB6.html) with a form that,
once the respondent inputs the total number of copies
ordered, automatically calculates the # of book copies to
split between Donated & Retained (if respondent tells
just one of the two) and calculates the total to be
charged to the credit card (based on a set price w/o
taxes or S&H). How/Can I do this with FP'02 Form
capabilities? If not, what do I need to do it? And how
do I get it to calculate the total charge based on sales
tax + Shipping & Handling?

Hi John,

Your form calculates fine for me, and I don't get the Runtime/Debug message: Probably because I have it turned off in IE.

Since the form seems to be working, you might want to turn this message off as well. When ever it popped up for me it was a simple error I was unable to find and didn't seem to effect the page from operating correctly.

You can disable this warning in IE

Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced>> Look under "Browsing" and check "Disable script debugging". You can always turn it back on if you want.

As to the tax calculation, I have a sample Java Order Form on my site. I didn't build it, but it has a tax calculation you might pick up from the code. If you use any part of this script, however, please take the comment crediting the source as well.
