Is there a way to automatically delete messages once they've been moved to a local folder? In other words--to "move" messages to these folders as easily as they can be "copied"? I'd like to be able to clean out my inbox by just dragging messages into local folders, but as it is, I either have to navigate the "move" tree or manually delete each message after copying it (and opening the corresponding folder to make sure it's actually in there).

I don't want or need to move the folders to the IMAP server--I don't need to be able to access them except from the laptop where they're stored.

This sounds like you're trying to "move" messages from your IMAP account
to the folders "On My Computer". The default when moving messages
between locations is to copy, not move.

You can override this behavior by holding the Command key as you drag
messages.

Hope this helps!
