Auto FE Updater and error message

I had one of my users go into the shared drive and double-click the
StartMDB.exe file from this program. It works great on mine but the user is
getting this error message:

"Null command line sent to utility"

"If you are using a shortcut the target in the shortcut has not been
properly set up"

I have not created a shortcut for StartMDB so I don't understand what could
have gone wrong. Any ideas??

Thanks

I see many threads regarding this issue but cannot seem to get it to work. I
just saw in the instructions for Tony's FE Updater that I can add a
"ServerShortCutName" to the .ini file that would create a shortcut on the
server that my users could just put on their desktops.

Is this the best option? Would the .ini file still run if I did this and
create the necessary folder on the user's system?

Toni -

You are the only person who needs to run the StartMDB.exe application. This
action will create a shortcut (to your database) on your desktop

Now, either copy this shortcut onto the server for your users to click, or
email them this shortcut - Either way, when they click the shortcut (*.lnk)
they will be set up with their own shortcut and icon on their desktop.
That's it (or at least this worked for me)
