"Auto Fill" of Name in TO box

Kyle

Is there a file on the computer that stores the names of
TO recipients that can be modified to delete an entry? I
have sent messages to "A. Jones" and "B. Jones" in the
past. I would like for the auto fill to automatically
pull up "B. Jones" when I type in "jon " and
not "memorize" the A. Jones, that I will never send a
message to again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks....Kyle

The file's name is your profile name with ".NK2" as the file type and is
located in %USERPROFILE\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (on Windows
2000/XP). That folder is a hidden folder.

If you wish to remove "A.Jones" from the file, the next time you send a
message and "A.Jones" apears, just use your arrow keys to hightlight it and
press Delete.

You cannot modify the behavior of the autosuggest cache. You won't be able
to type "jon" and have it fill "B.Jones" in.

I attempted to explain how to do this in a much earlier e-mail. We have a
utility that you may want to look at that will allow you to edit the NK2
file. Change the "file as" any way that you want to.

You can find it at www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. It's called Owtlook.
Download the demo, see how your data is filed. If you change the e-mail
name, it should give you the desired results.

Not natively.
The utility that Randy is telling you about can export the NK2 file to a txt
or csv file.
