auto filter with more than 2 criteria?

I'd like to auto filter my resource column in the task view based on more
than two criteria. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks

bigger picture: tasks are grouped in 3s. 90% of the time, if i change the
resource on one of the tasks, i want the resource on the other two tasks to
change as well. So if i want to not include a job (3 tasks per job) i want
to be able to change the resource to "Trash All" and then have the autofilter
not show it. However, I also want to be able to just change the resource of
a single task to "Trash" and have it not affect the other two tasks
associated with that job, but also have the autofilter not show those tasks
either. In addition i need to autofilter by one more criteria, leading to a
total of 3 criteria i need autofilter to be based on ("Trash all", "Trash",
and "No") So...
1) I need a way to link the resource of one task to those of another.
2) I need to be able to autofilter by more than 2 criteria

Thanks

Hello Scott,

As you have discovered, the autofilter "custom" item allows only two
criteria. However, you can create your own custom filter adding the
third criteria fairly easily.

Start to create the custom autofilter and in the dialog window click
the Save button. That will open the Filter definition with the two
criteria already set. Use the existing criteria as a sample to add
the third criteria. I'd show the filter in the menu and then to apply
the filter, use the drop down on the Formatting toolbar.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks. I don't think there is anyway for me to solve my other problem, due
to some specific problems with the info i'm dealing with, but this does help
me with the autofilter. Thanks a bunch.
