Auto fit in window size

I heard that if i make my table 100%, it will resize to whatever screen resolution the user has. When I tried that it basically TILES the table instead of fitting that table in the window. Make sense? Let me know what I am missing. Thanks

Actually, there is a way to screw up a table so that it tiles. I managed to
accomplish this when I first started working with tables.

I have no background image. I just have the main table with all content inside that table. I changed the table width to 100%. Previewed it in the browser (IE6) and it tiles or shows the website twice side by side on the page instead of fitting it into the window.
